General Rules
- All exhibits will be entered in accordance with the rules of each department on designated exhibit days. (Refer to departments) Each exhibit must be tagged with a Summit County Exhibit tag, and be registered on an official entry blank.
- Competition is open only to those who reside in Summit County, unless otherwise stated in department rules.
- All commercial booths, concessions, etc., will be subject to prior authorization of the fair board or directors.
- This show is a county enterprise, not conducted for profit. All exhibitors and patrons must agree that fair management and county officials will not be held responsible for accidents, injuries or illness to animals, breakage or loss to property exhibited at the county fair, during the show or en route to the fair.
- All persons using bicycles, driving vehicles, or riding horses, etc. are subject to control of the board of directors. NO ANIMALS WILL BE ALLOWED TO RUN AT LARGE WITHIN THE GROUNDS.
- In all departments, the judges will be instructed to award the prize they think the article merits. The decision of the judges will be final in all classes.
- Fair premiums can be picked up from the ticket booth on the fair grounds. The fair board reserves the right to pro-rate the money to exhibitors in case of an over-estimated number of entries are entered in the fair departments. Premium money can be picked up at the Treasurer's office up to 30 days after the fair.
- All activities at the county fair will be subject to rules and regulations of Summit County.
- All persons entering arena for the demolition derby & PRCA rodeos will be required to have a ticket!
- 10.The Summit County Fair will be reserving camp, trailer or tent spaces on the fairgrounds for livestock exhibitors and their families. Spaces will be identified and assigned by the Summit County Fair Board and only those spaces on the grounds identified will be allowed. Permit allows for space only. Space will be limited and will be allocated based on the order of receipt of application and fee by the Summit County Fair Office. Payment will be refunded if there is no space available. Any trailer, tent, camp without a permit visible will be towed or removed at owner expense.
- All exhibits must be removed from fair grounds on Sat., August 13, 2011 by 7:00 p.m. with the exception of the Country Arts and Fine Arts exhibits. Country Arts will be released to town representatives on Monday, Aug.15, 2011, at the Quonset Hut at 4:00 p.m. and released to the public at 5:00 p.m. The Fine Arts will be released Monday August 15, 2011 at the N.S. High School from 4:00 p.m to 6:00 pm. Summit County Fair WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE for articles or exhibits left after 6:00 p.m., unless prior arrangements have been made.
- COALVILLE CITY ADOPTED AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING CONSUMPTION OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES OR POSSESSION OF OPEN CONTAINERS THEREOF IN PUBLIC BUILDINGS, PUBLIC PARKS, PUBLIC STREETS AND SIDEWALKS, AUTOMOBILES ON PUBLIC STREETS AND PARKING LOTS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC, AND PROVIDING A PENALTY THEREFORE. - IN COMPLIANCE WITH THE AMERICANS WITH DISABILITIES ACT, INDIVIDUALS NEEDING SPECIAL ACCOMMODATIONS DURING ANY OF THE FAIR EVENTS SHOULD CALL 336-3221, 615-3221 OR 783-4351 EXT. 3221 AT LEAST THREE DAYS PRIOR TO THE EVENT.
