Ledges Event Center

Summit County’s newest facility is open and available for rental. We invite you to come in for a tour and consider this stunning space for your next event or family gathering. Special rates for Summit County residents!

Ledges Event Center, located at the Summit County Fairgrounds in Coalville, is an open-layout, 11,600 square-foot community building with ample natural light and multiple event spaces to accommodate almost any type of event or gathering.

Ledges is the first non-State of Utah building to adopt the High Performance Building Standards developed by the State of Utah Department of Facilities Construction and Management. Careful consideration went into the design and construction of the building regarding energy efficiency and sustainable practices.

Multipurpose Room

The highlight of the building is a spacious 5,398 square-foot event space with vaulted ceilings and floor to ceiling glass windows on the west and south walls of the room. Sky lights providing gentle natural light create an inviting ambiance. In keeping with the Fairgrounds style, steel beams grace the ceiling above nine hanging olive contemporary light fixtures. A serving window opens between the east end of the room and the kitchen area, facilitating effortless catering. Storage closets hold 32, six-foot round tables, and 10, six-foot rectangular nesting tables that may be used for your event, along with 250 stackable chairs on easily movable carts.

The room is equipped with AV capability, including a state-of-the art sound system for projected or live music, microphones for speeches, projector with custom-made, theater-grade, 20-foot wide motorized screen that can be powered up or down for slide shows and presentations, and a mobile podium. Maximum seated capacity is 500. Complimentary use of the foyer and kitchen is included in the rental of this room. Conference Room

A modern 750 square-foot conference room with artistic spherical hanging chandeliers and cherry wood paneling is available for meetings or small social events. A wall of windows on the northern side of the room looks out onto the County Fairgrounds with movable shades to adjust the room’s lighting. The room is equipped with 32 contemporary chairs on casters and 12 configurable tables that can be easily arranged into any size and shape based on your meeting’s needs. There are three mounted 70-inch, LED display TVs and all the AV hookups for presentations, including a state-of-the art sound system. A mobile white board is available to facilitate effective brainstorming sessions. The room also includes a counter and sink for catering food and beverage. Maximum capacity is 50. Foyer and Outdoor Patios

An open foyer greets you as you enter the building with rotating exhibits displaying regional art and beautiful cherry wood paneling on the ceiling. A community piano celebrating the County’s railroad heritage sits in the corner, created by local artists and Summit County residents, Sally and Jes Neilson-Berg. This installation is part of the County’s public art program. Restroom access and entrances to the conference room and kitchen are off the foyer, along with glass doors opening to a side patio on the west side of the building, creating an indoor-outdoor option for your event. The foyer can assist traffic flow for your gathering or can host activities for your event, such as a registration table, casino night, cocktail hour or anything else you want. Complimentary use of the foyer is included in the multipurpose room rental.

Kitchen

A medium-sized warming kitchen is available for light food and beverage preparation and storage, equipped with stainless steel refrigerator, residential-sized (non-industrial/commercial) oven, microwave and sink. Counter space along two walls allow for chopping and other catering needs. A janitorial closet located in the space provides supplies to address spills, stains, and other mishaps during your event. Complimentary kitchen rental is included in the multipurpose room reservation.
