Summit County is recruiting a devoted caregiver looking to make a difference in a region that takes pride in our Public Health programs. This is a significant career opportunity for a dedicated and loyal nurse, who will collaborate with State and community partners, along with staff, to provide health education, screenings, and interventions for individuals and groups.
A working knowledge of nursing principles and practices, along with research methods and evaluation of data, related to public health is instrumental. Essential abilities include interviewing techniques, principles of teaching, understanding general County laws and regulations, and public relation skills, including the ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
Minimum Qualifications for a Public Health Nurse I include an associate degree in Nursing and one (1) year of experience in Clinical nursing.
Minimum Qualifications for a Public Health Nurse II include an associate degree in Nursing, bachelor’s degree preferred, and two (2) years’ experience in Clinical or Public Health nursing.
Public Nurse I: $49,878.29 – $68,910.84/annually.
Public Nurse II: $52,870.98 – $74,105.19/annually.
